Ranger 28 is the new piece of apparatus in the Station 28 fleet. It is a 2009 Polaris Ranger 6x6 Custom EUV. It is a fully outfitted emergency response vehilce for either fire supression or ems assist that allows us to reach areas where regular fire apparatus will not fit such as the canal towpath or deep wooded areas. The EUV is outfitted with a fire/rescue skid unit that houses a water tank and pump with hose reel for fire supression as well as stokes basket and backboard for ems transport.
